Reunión anual EGS 2019 Amsterdam
Como cada año, la AEG, como miembros de la EGS (European Galactosemia Society), asistimos a la reunión anual que este año se celebra en Amsterdam.
Rosa Olivé y Antonio Vazques Palazón, asisten representando a la AEG.
Os informaremos de los temas hablados en la reuniónde la EGS (avances estudios médicos, etc) en la próxima reunión anual de la AEG que se celebrará en Madrid.

Hola familias!
Ya hemos pasado más de la mitad de setiembre y seguramente todos estamos inmersos de nuevo en la rutina.
Os escribimos para invitaros a participar, un año más, en la reunión de la Asociación Española para la Galactosemia, que este año tendrá lugar del 1 al 3 de noviembre, en el Camping Pico de la Miel, de La Cabrera, en la Comunidad de Madrid (localización).
Cambiamos, pues, un poco el formato, ya que haremos todas las comidas y actividades allí mismo, en el camping, desde la cena del viernes hasta el desayuno del domingo.
Durante la reunión del sábado, que tendrá lugar en una sala del camping, los niños podrán realizar actividades al aire libre en el mismo camping, con monitores. El coste que supongan estos monitores estará sufragado por la AEG.
El coste del alojamiento para nuestro grupo es de 36.50 Euros por persona y noche, en media pensión, y hay que añadir 16 euros (por persona) para el almuerzo del sábado. Los menores de tres años no pagan, pero apuntadlos igualmente.
Estamos concretando una actividad lúdica o de turismo para realizar la tarde del viernes, aquellas familias que ya hayan llegado, así todos tendremos un ratito más relajado para disfrutar, hablar, y en definitiva, compartir. El camping se encuentra en un entorno natural precioso que queremos aprovechar. Así pues, traed ropa y calzado cómodos, apto para caminar por el bosque.
Como sabéis, otros años hemos organizado alguna actividad para el domingo por la mañana, pero hemos visto que la mayoría de familias prefiere desayunar y emprender camino de regreso a casa, así que este año en principio no organizamos nada.
Podéis inscribiros aquí. Necesitamos saber antes del 1 de octubre quienes vais a asistir, pues es hasta ese día que nos guardan los bungalows, así que por favor, rellenad el formulario antes de ese día. Sabemos que es muy justo, pero os pedimos un esfuerzo para poderlo tener todo atado y que no se quede ninguna familia sin alojamiento.
Una vez os hayáis inscrito, os pasaremos individualmente a cada uno el importe que debéis abonar a la AEG para que hagamos la reserva y garanticemos tanto el alojamiento como las comidas, con el pago por avanzado que nos piden en el camping.
A continuación os paso el programa de la reunión, aunque puede que haya alguna pequeña variación de última hora.

MADRID Annual meeting AEG 2019
Hello families!
We have already spent more than half of September and surely we are all immersed again in the routine.
We are writing to invite you to participate, one more year, in the meeting of the Spanish Association for Galactosemia, which this year will take place from November 1 to 3, at the Camping Pico de la Miel, of La Cabrera, in the Community of Madrid (location).
So, we changed the format a bit, since we will do all the meals and activities right there, at the campsite, from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast.
During Saturday’s meeting, which will take place in a camping room, children can do outdoor activities in the same campsite, with monitors. The cost of these monitors will be borne by the AEG.
The cost of accommodation for our group is 36.50 Euros per person and night, half board, and 16 euros (per person) must be added for Saturday lunch. Children under three do not pay, but write them down equally.
We are carrying out a leisure or tourism activity to do Friday afternoon, those families that have already arrived, so we will all have a more relaxed time to enjoy, talk, and ultimately, share. The campsite is in a beautiful natural environment that we want to take advantage of. So, bring comfortable clothes and shoes, suitable for walking through the forest.
As you know, other years we have organized some activity for Sunday morning, but we have seen that the majority of families prefer to have breakfast and go back home, so this year in principle we do not organize anything.
You can register here. We need to know before October 1 who are going to attend, as it is until that day that the bungalows keep us, so please fill in the form before that day. We know that it is very fair, but we ask for an effort to be able to have everything tied up and that no family is left without accommodation.
Once you have registered, we will individually pass to each one the amount you must pay to the AEG to make the reservation and guarantee both accommodation and meals, with advanced payment requested at the campsite.
Then I pass the program of the meeting, although there may be some small variation of last minute.

Carrera solidaria en beneficio a la galactosemia en Múrcia.
Hoy María José Navarro, asociada de la AEG, con motivo del día mundial de la Paz, ha explicado en el colegio, San Cayetano de Torre-Pacheco de Múrcia, qué es la galactosemia. La presentación ha finalizado con una carrera solidaria a favor de la galactosemia.

El fin de semana del 12 al 14 de octubre tuvo lugar en Tudela el encuentro de familias y la reunión de la AEG, con más de cuarenta asistentes, entre adultos y niños. El programa lúdico de la reunión empezó con una cena conjunta para las primeras familias que llegaron, ya el jueves.

El viernes, con algunas familias más, nos dirigimos al parque Senda Viva, que aúna parque de animales con parque de atracciones, donde pasamos un entretenido día de convivencia y diversión.

El sábado, mientras los mayores llevábamos a cabo la reunión y la asamblea, los niños estuvieron la mar de entretenidos…. Por la mañana en el colegio de los Jesuitas de Tudela, donde sus voluntarios les habían preparado juegos, actividades deportivas y entretenimientos más tranquilos. Por la tarde, al cine y a la bolera. ¡Jornada completa!

Si bien en otras ocasiones la columna vertebral del encuentro ha sido la información médica y científica, este año ha sido una reunión para compartir y comentar experiencias. Durante la mañana, empezamos con la exposición de nuestra asociada Victoria Nieto, una joven con galactosemia con mucho que contar, que nos explicó cómo fue para ella crecer conviviendo con esta condición, un punto de vista muy valioso para los asistentes, en su mayoría padres de galactosemicos.
While on other occasions the backbone of the meeting has been medical and scientific information, this year has been a meeting to share and comment on experiences. During the morning, we began with the exhibition of our associate Victoria Nieto, a young woman with galactosemia, who explained us how it was for her to grow up living with this condition, a very valuable point of view for the attendees, mostly parents of galactosemics.

Continuamos con las vivencias compartidas por la deportista paralímpica Carla Casals, que se desplazó desde Barcelona gracias al proyecto CARSpeakers del Centro de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (CAR de Sant Cugat), que nos explicó su experiencia vital, deportiva, formativa y laboral, con cuatro Juegos Paralímpicos y un montón de medallas internacionales a sus espaldas.
We continue with the experiences shared by the Paralympic sportswoman Carla Casals, who traveled from Barcelona thanks to the CARSpeakers project of the High Performance Sports Center (CAR de Sant Cugat), which explained her life, sports, training and work experience, with four Games Paralympics and a lot of international medals behind them.

La mañana pasó rápida, tanto Victoria como Carla nos transmitieron energía positiva a montones, y nos marchamos a comer con la frase del día “puede que la vida no sea la fiesta que esperabas, pero ya que estamos aquí, bailemos”.
Tras la parada para almorzar, fue el turno de la Asamblea, en qué se renovó la Junta, continuando Rosa Olivé como presidenta, Carlos Ventimilla como vicepresidente, Fina Castells como secretaria, y con el relevo en la tesorería, en qué Ainara Ecenarro sustituye a Jordi Tarruella.
The morning passed quickly, both Victoria and Carla gave us positive energy in heaps, and we left to eat with the phrase of the day «life may not be the party you expected, but since we are here, let’s dance».
After lunch, it was the turn of the Assembly, in which the Board was renewed, continuing Rosa Olivé as president, Carlos Ventimilla as vice president, Fina Castells as secretary, and with the relief in the treasury, in which Ainara Ecenarro replaces Jordi Tarruella.

Por otra parte, se comentó las actividades llevadas a cabo durante el año, y se dio luz verde a lanzarnos a las redes sociales, con un nuevo perfil en Instagram, galactosemia.es que ya de ha hecho efectivo, y la futura creación de un perfil de Twitter.Con las ideas de mejora de la AEG para el futuro, se dio por terminada la reunión, pues había que prepararse para cenar en un restaurante cercano.
On the other hand, we talked about the activities carried out during the year, and gave the green light to launch social networks, with a new profile on Instagram, galactosemia.es that has already become effective, and the future creation of a Twitter profile. With the ideas of improvement of the AEG for the future, the meeting ended it was time to prepare for dinner at a nearby restaurant.
El domingo, tras decir adiós a aquellos que ya emprendían viaje de vuelta, algunas familias realizaron una visita guiada al centro de Tudela, aunque la persistente lluvia aceleró la despedida, con la promesa de encontrarse de nuevo el próximo otoño 2019 en Madrid.

El pasaso Sábado 29 de Septiembre estuvimos en la jornada de presentación del Futbol Sala Gavà. La presente temporada 2018/19, todos los equipos del Fútbol Sala Gavà, desde el Senior A, hasta el Benjamín A, llevarán el logo de nuestra asociación. Con ello daremos a conocer la galactosemia y difundir nuestra asociación, por toda la provincia de Barcelona.
A parte de dirigir, nuestra presidenta Rosa Olivé, unas palabras al público presente durante la presentación de todos los equipos del Club, pudimos montar una barra de bar para recaudar fondos, queremos agradecer a Jordi, Carmen, Fina, Josep Maria, Queralt y Aura por su asistencia y ayuda. Last Saturday, September 29th, we were in the presentation day of Gavà Indoor Soccer. This season 2018/19, all teams of Futsal Gavà, from Senior A, to Benjamin A, will carry the logo of our association. This we will publicize the galactosemia and spread our association throughout the province of Barcelona.

Estamos calentando motores de cara a la reunión de la Asociación, que este año tendrá lugar del 12 al 14 de octubre en Tudela, Navarra.
Aunque el programa y horario definitivo de la reunión todavía lo estamos concretando, aquí teneis la información importante.
Jueves, 11 de octubre

* Reunión de la Asociación, en el mismo hotel. Mañana y tarde.
Este año, aparte de la Asamblea de rigor, vamos a tener dos «charlas», muy centradas en experiencias personales, en vivencias, que creemos serán muy enriquecedoras, tanto para familias como para los galactosémicos.
Por un lado, charla de la deportista paralímpica Carla Casals.
Por otro lado, algunos de nuestros jóvenes nos explicarán, en primera personas, cómo es hacerse mayor siendo galactosémico/a, y su experiencia personal.
Habrá actividades para los niños, durante la reunión, que todavía estamos preparando. Los más pequeños estarán en el mismo hotel con nosotros, y los más mayores (a partir de 7 o 8 años, a criterio de los padres) saldrán fuera.
